THE PAST -
The first website was published on August 6, 1991, by Tim Bernes Lee from a lab in the Swiss Alps. He was also the inventor of the Web World Web (WWW). HTML was used to write the browser and server software. In the course, other languages also came into being like CSS, ECMA-262, AND WCAG but HTML made its impact and strongly continued with updated versions. Over the years, there was inaccessible, unmaintainable, and invalid code due to which the output quality was low. Internet connection was poor, sites were bloated.

However, after few years, though the quality remained poor, the experience of the users became suboptimal as the speed of the internet was increased. There were fewer bloated sites.

THE PRESENT -
HTML and CSS became an integral part of the web developer’s toolkit. Developers became more committed and over the years they achieved quite a lot in this field. Moreover, the present is also witnessing the rise of the mobile web. New mobile phones and their browsers are capable of supporting a wide range of web formats. However, there are still few hurdles that web developers have to overcome.

THE FUTURE -
Web Development will see rapid change and growth in the coming few years. It will be a challenge that the developers will overcome to create websites that run easily on computers as well as smartphones. With communication rising, the forums for web developers will be platforms where they can easily assess problems within their groups. Also, the rise in the demand for web developers will never go away.
